Christmas cards

Season's Greetings

We are delighted to be offering our new Christmas card and we hope you like it. We still have a few of the other designs if you'd like them.

The cards are sold in packs of 10 at £5.00 plus postage and packing

We are also offering GIFT CARDS to help buy desks and goats at £5 per card.

2008 cards are smaller 10cm sq with the simple message of "Seasons Greetings" inside.

The card was designed by Zainabu Athumani, a year 6 student from Waangwaray Primary School. She spells as she hears the words so we clearly need to work on pronunciation as well as spelling !!

We asked all the kids to think about Christmas in Africa (because they do know it is Christmas!!) and to draw a card to reflect that. We had hundreds as you can imagine and we had to reduce it down. Sadly the costs of making cards is such that we had to select just one winner, and that was Charles Ruben.

Prior to this drawing competition, none of the kids had EVER had pens and crayons or art classes.

All the money raised from the sale of the cards, over and above the cost of production, will be spent on local community development projects in Waangwaray.
