Livingstone Tanzania Trust

School and Youth Groups

UK - Tanzania School Links

The Livingstone Tanzania Trust is actively seeking schools, scout units, guide units and youth groups in the UK to partner with one of our communities or schools in Tanzania.

The LivingstoneTanzania Trust has a number of long term projects that your group can get involved with raising funds for and then visiting and working alongside the communities to see that project becomes a reality.

We provide a very personal service and work closely with you and your partner school inTanzania to provide regular updates, feedback and contact. We also provide feedback and photos on how your projects are developing.

We are happy to hold talks to students, teachers, scout/guideleaders, governors, parents and the wider community to explain the work we are doing and why it is so important.

We can also work with the teachers to build Tanzania and its development issues into different aspects of the curriculum at different levels of the school, just contact Julian on julianppage@gmail.com for more details.

Feedback from past trips

"Working on the project has been one of the most fun and rewarding experiences of my life" -Hannah

"When I arrived in Africa the communities around where we were staying couldn't have been more welcoming. Everywhere we walked ‘Jambo habari', greeted us (Hello, how are you?); this gave me such an amazing feeling inside.  The actual project was amazing. After our hard and persistent work the project was finished. I can't try and describe how I felt when we finished; it just gave me a huge sense of team work and completion. One of the best feelings of my life!" - Charlotte

"An amazing experience and adventure that I won't ever forget!" - Natalie

"I had so much fun on this project. It was very fulfilling to see our classroom go from foundations to built, plastered and painted in just a few weeks" - Lily

"Under Inspire's leadership our group of volunteers found that when they arrived in Tanzania they were very well prepared. The volunteers had a full and enriching experience because Inspire made sure that they understood the culture, customs, and geography of the area they were working in.  The program was well managed and highly organized so the volunteers felt cared for at all times.  In addition, all the leaders were full of enthusiasm.  They always kept the volunteers in good spirits. We are looking forward to next year's trip already!"
