Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire is home to a vast array of Baobab (or upside down) trees of phenomenal size which stud the landscape. These trees' circumferences can grow up to 30 ft after a century and most trees live to be 600 years old.

This National Park is home to great herds of Elephants which wander the grasslands and flat topped acacia forests. The Tarangire river runs through the middle of the park providing a green corridor down to the shallow Lake Burunge in the West home to a flock of Pink Flamingos
