Tanzania is blessed with some fantastic landscapes and some beautiful animals. 25% of the country has been designated as National Parks (14), game reserves (12) and a conservation area. Currently LTT are operating in just a few, but we plan to expand in time.
Home of the tree climbing lions and tree climbing pythons, this National Park lies at the base of the Great Rift Valle's western escarpment. The lush vegetation on the slopes gives way to open savannah grasslands and the lake, home to thousands of flamingos that create a pink haze on the horizon. The park is home to over 400 species of birds, great herds of Elephant, giraffe, hippos, reedbuck, warthog, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra as well as a host of smaller animals. The park is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.

Ngorongoro Crater
One of the most magnificent of all the World heritage sites, the Ngorongoro Crater is approx 20km across, with slopes rising 620m off the crater floor. Inside is an area of 300sqkm where 30,000 animals roam. Massive herds of wildebeest and zebra practically ignore the visitors, hyena cool off in the rain pools and hippos loll in the lakes. Black Rhino's hide, warthogs dart, , gazelles skip and nervously scan the horizon, lions and leopards watch over activities while the Elephants roam free. Such abundance is well worth the visit, and we highly recommend a stay at one of the rim lodges where the crater can be viewed at sunset and sunrise.
