Interns
With jobs being scarce and employers looking for people with experience we are eager to help those who want to work in the Charity/Development arena.
To that end we are delighted to have two Interns start with us in November 2011.
Alix Odgers was worked with Quest and Inspire as team leaders and this year has led three groups to Babati. Her enthusiasm, patience and leadership skills were great. Add to that a BA in English and History from York, a MA in History from SOAS and Grade 8 in singing, Cello and Piano means that Alix is a determined, intelligent and dedicated person who wants to achieve. We are delighted to have her on the team.
Sophie Wotton has also worked as a team leader with Quest and has a BA in Human Geography from Durham with a particular focus on International Development. She has used her skills and enthusiasm with Quest, Inspire Worldwide and Starfish Malawi. She has worked in Kenya and Malawi. She is passionate about the importance of community driven development projects which work in partnership with the community and enhance the local capacity.
It is our hope that Alix and Sophie will be able to bring their knowledge, skills and dedication to what we are doing to help us expand our reach, develop new fund raising ideas and bring more benefits to the people in Babati.
